The world is hushed.

The world is silent.

The world has come to a halt.

The world is sleeping.

The world has stopped.

Swings have stopped swinging.

Fountains have stopped flowing.

Cars have stopped driving.

People have stopped working.

Mail has stopped coming.

Neighbors have stopped visiting.

Restaurants have stopped serving.

Trains have stopped running.

Stores have stopped stocking.

Customers have stopped shopping.

Church bells have stopped ringing.

Metros have stopped speeding.

Crowds have stopped cheering.

Schools have stopped teaching.

Buses have stopped moving.

Athletes have stopped competing.

Churches have stopped preaching.

Cities have stopped bustling.

Robbers have stopped stealing.

Planes have stopped flying.

Farmers have stopped plowing.

Boats have stopped sailing.

Barbers have stopped cutting.

Builders have stopped building.

Cafés have stopped brewing.

The world is hushed.

The world is silent.

The world has come to a halt.

The world is sleeping.

The world has stopped.

And yet . . .

Babies are still born.

Hearts still beat.

Lungs still breathe.

Humans still think.

Mothers still protect.

Fathers still provide.

Children still play.

Families still care.

Animals still eat.

Flowers still bloom.

Rivers still flow.

Trees still blossom.

Plants still grow.

People still sleep.

Friends still laugh.

Dogs still bark.

Frogs still leap.

Wind still blows.

Rainbows still amaze.

Waves still roll.

Artists still paint.

Eyes still see.

Ears still hear.

The sun still shines.

The moon still wanes.

Stars still sparkle.

Clouds still form.

Rain still falls.

Birds still fly.

Fish still swim.

Singers still sing.

Dancers still dance.

Believers still pray.

Musicians still compose.

Emotions still feel.

People still love.

Hearts still cry.

Tears still fall.

Music still plays.

Doctors still fight.

Writers still write.

God still reigns.

Life still . . . . goes on.

Even though the world is hushed.

Shhhhh . . .
