My Gift to You—Get Your Free Ebook—”The 5-Day Journey to Cultural Awareness”!
Did you know that World Refugee Day is just around the corner?
June 20.
Here in Spain, much of my work is among the refugee and immigrant community. I am so thankful that there is a day to notice, to acknowledge, to remember, and to honor these dear ones.
In honor of the upcoming World Refugee Day, Story Center just shared a story from their recent project with the Idaho Office for Refugees. It’s a beautiful story of Fowzia Adan’s memory of making Somali anjero for the first time, and the love she has for her mother.
I didn’t know what anjero was until I watched this digital story.
It’s all about cultural awareness, appreciation, and understanding. It’s all about weaving cultures!
Put on your cultural awareness glasses and enjoy the show!
To experience more of Story Center’s work with immigrants and refugees, register for their June 11 Stories of Home VR screening. You won’t regret it. The experience will be beautiful!
