As you embark on a 30-day season of fasting from sunrise to sunset, may you experience the presence of God. I pray you find the joy, peace, and love that you are seeking.

I wish that I could enjoy breaking the fast with you one evening at sunset. L’ftor—with hard-boiled eggs, dates, milk, and traditional Moroccan Harira (tomato soup with chickpeas and lentils)—is still one of my most cherished moments with you during all of our years living in your land.
