I have discovered that not all holidays fall on the same date around the world. One holiday, in particular, almost always gets me in trouble—Mother's Day!
Like Martin Luther King Jr., I dream of seeing a world of equality, of unity in cultural diversity, of freedom, of human rights . . . of "weaving cultures."

“Traveling—It leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”
—Ibn Battuta
My name is Marci Renée. I have been living abroad in my childhood dreams since the age of 9, when I first discovered France and its beautiful language and culture.
Since then—along with my French husband—I have raised four boys “across borders, across languages, and across cultures.” Our nomadic family and our world-traveling dog have traveled to more than 30 countries and lived extensively on three different continents.
I have discovered that not all holidays fall on the same date around the world. One holiday, in particular, almost always gets me in trouble—Mother's Day!
